BDHR's Mission Statement:

"Brighter Days Horse Refuge is a non-profit 501(3)(c) organization. Available to the Hill Country and surrounding counties, the Refuge is the placement facility used by law enforcement who have seized abused horses in animal cruelty cases. Where horses were historically destroyed, they can now be rehabilitated and placed for adoption. Extraordinary care is given these residents to make sure they are comfortable and loved. The refuge has educated many horse owners in the care and feeding of older horses, to avoid the need for seizure.
